Also see Pas de bourreé Couru. They mean the same thing. This is a very famous and beautiful step. It's a series of tiny, very rapid steps performed on pointe or demi-pointe. Also can be done in sixth position. This is a girl's step and when done right, it looks like a flowing brook or a shimmering wheat field. Knees must alternate being straight and bent. It travels in any direction and can be done turning or in a stationary position. It is shown beautifully in the ballet "Giselle." It is also called just "Bourreé". Bourreé traveling and then with a turn.
